Travel Details & Frequently Asked Questions

The following details are provided to help you prepare for Return to the Sacred — Peru Journey, October 10–21, 2026.

Do I need a passport?

Yes. A valid passport is required for entry into Peru. Please make sure your passport is valid for the required period beyond your travel dates and check current entry requirements through the Peruvian embassy, consulate, or official travel resources for your country.

We recommend carrying a second form of photo ID, such as a driver’s license, and keeping both a printed copy and a phone photo of your passport information page.

Is airfare included?

No. International airfare to and from Peru is not included. Domestic airfare within Peru is also not included unless expressly stated in writing.

Participants are responsible for arranging flights so they arrive in Cusco in time for the scheduled group transfer. Specific arrival guidance will be provided before departure.

Is lodging included?

Yes. The retreat price includes 11 nights accommodations throughout the scheduled Peru itinerary.

Are meals included?

Meals specifically listed in the final itinerary are included. Breakfast is included daily. Additional meals, snacks, beverages, and personal food purchases outside the listed itinerary are not included.

Are ceremonies included?

Yes. All ceremonies designated as part of the core retreat itinerary are included in the retreat price. Participation in any ceremony is voluntary and subject to the retreat agreement, health considerations, local conditions, and guidance from the independent local providers facilitating the ceremony.

Is ground transportation included?

Yes. Scheduled in-country group transportation within the retreat itinerary is included, including designated group transfers at set times. Private transfers, missed transfers, personal itinerary changes, or transportation outside the scheduled group itinerary are not included.

How does altitude affect the journey?

We arrive in Cusco, which is the highest major altitude point on the itinerary at approximately 11,152 feet / 3,399 meters. After arrival, we are quickly transported to Urubamba in the Sacred Valley, which is lower at approximately 9,420 feet / 2,871 meters, allowing the body time to acclimate before returning to Cusco near the end of the journey.

Machu Picchu is lower than Cusco at approximately 7,970 feet / 2,430 meters. Hydration, rest, and pacing are important. Please consult your physician before travel if you have any medical concerns related to altitude, heart health, blood pressure, respiratory conditions, or medications.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Your policy should ideally include trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical coverage, emergency evacuation, travel delay, lost luggage, and coverage for unexpected illness or injury.

For the broadest coverage, many providers recommend purchasing travel insurance soon after your initial deposit. Please review policy details carefully and choose coverage appropriate to your needs.

What should I bring for health and safety?

Please bring all prescription medications, supplements, and essential personal health items in clearly labeled containers. Bring enough medication for the full journey, plus extra in case of travel delays.

A Foundation for Creative Dynamics / TOLTECNOLOGY does not provide medical advice. Please consult your physician regarding Peru travel, altitude, vaccinations, medications, and any personal health concerns before departure.

How much money should I bring?

Please bring funds for personal purchases, gifts, souvenirs, additional snacks, optional private sessions, laundry, and any meals or beverages not listed in the itinerary.
