COVID POLICY

These are the CURRENT COVID policies set forth by the government of Peru, as sent to me, Bryan E Schellinger as of 6/06/2022.
By placing your non-refundable deposit, you agree to these policies and or any changes that may occur between now and April 23, 2023.
If you have already placed your deposit you have until June 15, 2022 to contact via email to request your deposit back. Minus handling fee, if to be sent by Paypal.
If you chose to back out of retreat after January 15, 2023 there will be a total loss of funds.
You must also meet the requirements of your returning country of destination.
Currently, for the United States, you must test negative 24 hours before the departure of your flight.

Article 4.- Restrictions on the exercise of rights
4.4 Peruvians, resident foreigners, and non-resident foreigners aged 12 years and over whose final destination is the national territory, as passengers and regardless of the country of origin, must prove that they have applied the first and second dose of vaccination against COVID-19 in Peru or abroad, and the third dose for those over 18 years of age who reside in the country and are authorized to receive it, according to the current protocol. Failing that, they can present a negative molecular test with a result date of no more than 48 hours before boarding at their point of origin. Children under 12 years of age only need to be asymptomatic to board. Those people who show symptoms upon arrival in the national territory enter mandatory isolation, according to regulations on the matter. The National Health Authority is empowered to take diagnostic tests for COVID-19 for passengers arriving in the country, establishing complementary health measures for positive cases.
4.5 Passengers of the national air transport service over 12 years of age, residents, and non-residents, can only board if they prove that they have applied the first and second dose of vaccination against COVID-19 in Peru or abroad, and the third dose those over 18 years of age who reside in the country and are authorized to receive it, according to the current protocol. In case they have not completed the required doses according to their age, they must present a negative molecular test with a result date of no more than 48 hours before boarding. Children under 12 years of age only need to be asymptomatic to board.
- Any passenger unable to show proof of vaccination must provide a negative molecular test with a result date of no more than 48 hours before boarding at your place of origin. In the case of children under the age of 12, they only need to be asymptomatic to board.
- You must complete the Affidavit of Health and Geolocation Authorization, choosing the type of trip within 72 hours prior to it, and submit it virtually. If you are a minor or dependent, this registration must be completed by your legal representative or dependent.
- Upon arrival in Peru, you will have to go through a temperature measurement chamber and, if you present any signs or symptoms compatible with COVID-19, you will be evaluated by the doctor on duty in the COVID-19 module. If necessary, the transfer to the health services or place where you will comply with the isolation, will be in charge of the Minsa. In the Affidavit, you must place the address and telephone number of the place where you will be staying while you are in isolation for 14 days. The Minsa will call you every 3 days to monitor your health status. After 14 days, the monitoring ends.
